London In Bloom

horrah... we have just been awarded a Silver Award in the London in Bloom competition!!... how fantastic to have moved up so quickly in the awards and many thanks to all who have worked so hard to get the park in great shape for this award...lets celebrate on 7th OctSee More

boules court

The planning application hs been made for the long awaited boules court. This is proposed to be sited at the top end of the park near the Church road entrance, consultation has identifed that area of the park as being in need of "reclaiming" and increased usage. The plans can be seen at:  …See More

Orange rock Corps-volunteers rewards

 what a reward!!.. anyone who volunteers 4 hours of their time in the community can register their volunteering story with Orange Rocks Corps and receive a ticketmaster gift card to use to redeem against tickets for concerns, shows etc. I am... happy to verify any of your volunteers experiences as you lot deserve a reward.. anyone intersted in volunteering our next big event will not be until septemeber but there is monthly flower bed weeding to be done and of course we are now beginning a big…See More

Edible community garden

A corner of the park is about to get rather delicious. Crystal Palace Transition Town is turning an unloved nook into an edible garden, which will become host to lots of community events.

There are lots of mouth-watering things planned like elderflower cordial and jam-making events, summer herbal tea parties and more.

Perhaps not as savoury, but very useful, the garden will also be a hub for growing knowledge: teaching locals how to make compost, how to dig without doin’ ya…

Thanks to our lovely volunteers...

We won an award! We didn't even know we'd entered for it!



We joined RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood last winter. They assess the groups each year to see how they are progressing and offer advice.We thought we'd just received a report. But they have sent us a lovely framed certificate of achievement for our 'improving' status. This will be in the noticeboard in the park soon.

Open meeting, Saturday, 12th November at 10.30

If you like Westow Park, you'll love this



We are holding an open meeting this Saturday, 12th November to get your views about how you would like to see the park developed.



We are meeting at the Coxwell Road entrance (opposite the Secret Garden) at 10.30 and will take a short walk through the park ending up at Block 1, (the sheltered housing) in College Green at 11.00. The meeting will be held jointly with the residents' management committee.
